Accessibility Statement
Version 0.1 — pre-launch draft. Subject to formal audit before production deployment.
Our commitment
Soulverse is committed to making this website accessible to all visitors — including those using assistive technologies, keyboard-only navigation, or access via settings such as increased contrast and reduced motion.
This site is in development. Accessibility is a core requirement, not an afterthought. Where the current implementation does not yet meet full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, that is a known gap we are actively working to close.
Implemented features
- ✓Skip to main content link — visible on keyboard focus
- ✓Semantic HTML5 structure with landmark regions (nav, main, footer, section)
- ✓Descriptive alt text for all images (logo uses descriptive alt)
- ✓Focus-visible styles on all interactive elements
- ✓ARIA labels and current-page indicators on navigation
- ✓Keyboard-navigable hamburger menu with aria-expanded state
- ✓Colour contrast: text on backgrounds meets WCAG AA minimum ratios
- ✓Indigo (#2C2EBC) used for emphasis only — not as the sole indicator of meaning
- ✓Reduced motion: all animations and transitions disabled via prefers-reduced-motion
- ✓Print stylesheet for clean document output
- ✓Language attribute on html element (lang="en")
- ✓Descriptive link text — no "click here" or "read more" without context
Known gaps (pre-launch)
- ○Formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit not yet conducted — required before production launch
- ○Logo image: falls back to text wordmark if image unavailable — alt text present
- ○No captions or transcripts yet — no video content currently on the site
- ○Touch target sizes not yet formally measured against 44×44px minimum
- ○Screen reader testing on NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver required before launch
